I don't know why anyone would post this to their LiveJournal. Must be a drug chemical or something. Anyway, YAY CHEMISTRY. YAY AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS!

  2. Sorry, but it's come to my attention that the compound shown above is indeed, NOT an aromatic compound. Sorry for the confusion.

  3. Ahhh, caffeine. I knew it had to be something good.

    And I was actually referring to the fact that it doesn't have a pi bond when I said it was not aromatic. For those of you that don't remember your organic chemistry, a pi bond is a complex of double bonds in which the electrons can move freely among all atoms in the ring. Benzene is the classic example of a pi bond compound. And of a carcinogen.
